The site for this weekend house is in Aalloa hills, along the Sabarmati river. Each plot in these hills is unique with its characteristic valleys, contours and vistas. In contrast to the earlier house done in these hills, the proposed design is lifted up, responding to the expansive vistas and to the aspiration of the specific user. The house design is developed as a general type for these hills with its folding pattern and yet specific to the particular plot and user. The house design further evolves to make outdoor places, to intensify the experience of this natural place.
